Pansies.
Pansies are available during the cooler months, they don't like baking summer weather and so we don't sell them in May, June, July. The best time to buy them is in March/April and Sept/Oct
We often get asked if ours are Universal or Winter pansies - the simple answer is that we always sell the best varieties for the time of year. Pansies that you buy in the Autumn will survive our winters quite happily though they may flower less in the depths of winter. To get them going in the spring use a good feed in February.
Primroses.
The seasonality of Primroses and Polyanthus is the same as Pansies - they don't like hot weather either. In the Autumn we sell 'green' plants with little flower. In the Spring we sell fat plants loaded with bud and blossom. Our 'green' plants are ideal for bedding schemes mixed with Wallflowers and Tulips - also use them in Patio pots and hanging baskets.
